Taxes
what ppl dont know is that when at the station you will pay a Federal Tax a State tax and in some places even a county and a town or city tax
the station only gets a few cents per gallon
but the taxes get alot and the actuall fuel company gets tons of money
gets you everytime

Fuel tax in NJ ranks 3rd lowest nationally. And yes, we don’t pump our own gas haha
