New Jersey people who have lived in NJ their whole lives are somehow brainwashed to think that Jersey is so nice and great and blah.
Jersey sucks dude. I’ve lived there, NY, PA, MA, RI, CT… all over the place. There is NOTHING there. Its the armpit of america.

I miss and love New Jersey, its not bad at all, just a myth like you said. Lived in Bergen County for a long time, and now theres all the casinos,swimming etc and beautiful scenery down south Jersey, particularly like Monmouth County and Jersey City was improving vastly with the South street seaport. Givve it a try people!

New Jersey is a pretty nice state, but other than the shore and the pinelands, there aren’t that much places that would attract large amounts of tourists.
I like nj my fiance came from eastern montana which i’ve also been to and is beautiful and he thinks nj got a bad rap. The only places in nj that are true to the stereotype are the cities that are close to nyc. Most states have cities that are rundown. But my fiance is amazed at the autumn leaves here, i never thought much of them until he was astounded by thier beauty i guess not too many states have the fall foliage that nj has. P.S. I am in no way downing NYC i love it there too

Julie S doe not know the meaning of sucks. She has not lived in the ‘Delta’ region of Mississipp, Arkansas and Louisiana. NJ is heaven compared to here. NJ is better than many many places and I would love to live there again.
