Then I wouldn’t move to that big of a city…think of some place in the midwest. I personally enjoy Wisconsin. Lots of small friendly towns to work in.

Wow! What are people telling you?

New Jersey might be the butt of many jokes, but it’s a good state to live. It’s got farms and fields as well as cities and metropolitian areas.

For more information, check out some of the cities in Jersey here:

New Jersey has a lot of small suburbal areas. Where will you be living? New Jersey has a lot to offer. It is close to the shore, and also close to two major cities, NYC and Philadelphia. Depending on which city you will be moving to, the crime rate varies as well. From what I know, there are only a few cities that the crime rate is bad. I think New Jersey is great and you don’t have anything to worry about!

New Jersey is like any other large place. It has a few bad places, and lots of great places. You would not feel comfortable in the large cities – such as Newark, Irvington, Elizabeth, Camden or Trenton. These all have dangerous sections and would be uncomfortable for you.

New Jersey has a bad reputation to some, but they tend to be people who have not visited. It actually boasts one of the highest percentages of undeveloped land of any state on the East Coast, it has great beaches, and 1/3 of the state is a pine forest called the Pine Barrens.

It is also home to some of the wealthiest towns in the nation, including Short Hills and Cherry Hill. Nice areas abound, and you are quite safe in New Jersey.

New Jersey

NJ has a bad rap. But what you will love is South Jersey. If you are have a choice the southern half is ideal as long as you are not close to Camden. NJ is such a great place- you are only an hour from the beach- the mountains, Philadelphia, New York City, Washington DC (little more than and hour) It is very fast paced but full of great history, food, diners, shopping and people. I was not raised here but grew to love it. We have hot summers and snow in the winter (sometimes). Beautiful fall weather (Pennsylvania over the river for that)
NJ will embrace you- we love accents here and I’m sure you have one if you are from Australia.
