I live in New Jersey the closest airport to me is PHL (Philly, PA) and the cloest train station to me is TRE (Trenton, N.J.) The distance between NJ & BOSTON Iis 5.5 hrs, not including traffic. It takes about $90.00 to fill up my tank round trip, and I pay about $30.00 in tolls. (est.) Would it be cheaper to fly, take a train, or the bus ? Please keep in mind I am looking for the shortest distance. Thank you. P.S. PLEASE INCLUDE WEBSITES SO THAT I MAY REFER TO THEM.
In my experience the train from Trenton is pretty cheap and you can at least relax and not worry about traffic. Sleep or read on the ride and enjoy the “no hassle”. The train is my suggestion. The bus sucks and going by air is too time intensive now because of security lines and getting there so early before the flights plus Logan is not fun at all.
Go to NYC. From china town there are lots of buses to Boston. Roundtrip will cost u only $30. Just search for China town buses from NYC and u cud book them online. Its not necessary. u cud just go there at ur convenient time and book the tickets.

I would think the train must be the easiest option. Flying can be a pain in the neck, with wait times, etc and can be expensive depending when you need to fly. At least with the train you don’t have to worry about traffic and can arrive pretty close to the time of departure, etc.
