1. Tuition and Fees (I don’t have many, cause I have an assistantship appointment, but I had some.)
2. Parking Fee
3. Books (I saved all my textbook receipts.)
4. Money spent on gas for commuting to school (I saved all these receipts too, just in case.)
Thanks much!!
P.S. I live in Illinois and attend a public university. Oh and I am married.

I am interested in viewing completed applications. Assuming that a tax-exempt organization is open to scrutiny, because of its status, I would think that one would be able to view these forms in their entirety, as opposed to instructions and blank forms provided by irs.gov.
Past incorrect answers have been:
Form 990
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f990.pdf
instructions
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i990-ez.pdf
See Application for Exemption
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1023.pdf
explanation of requirements:
IRS Publication 557 “”Tax Exempt Status for Your Organization”
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p557.pdf
These are blank not completed forms.

I received my W2 form in January and decided to quickly do my own taxes by filing through a 1040 EZ form that I received in the mail from IRS. While fillng out the form I accidently wrote down on line #7 that the federal income tax withheld was $2213.35. I didn’t read the rest of the form and assumed because I don’t claim anyone (including myself) on my W2 and that in the pass I’ve always received a refund I subtracted line 10 from 9 and though my refund would be $1172.25. I just received a letter yesterday from IRS that stated I have an amount due and must pay the amount mention above. I started freaking out, because I knew this was wrong and as the letter stated I needed to double check my form or send the amount mention. After double checking and fine toning every inch of the 1040 form I realize that on line #7 I actually wrote my Social security tax withdraw instead of my Federal income tax withheld. Even so after correcting it I’m still suppose to get $1113.10 back.
You see on line 7 I shouldn’t have wrote $2213.25. The amount I should have wrote was $4498.10. If I contact IRS and let them know about this mistake will they still give me my refund? Will I have to fill out a special form? Will they simply correct the mistake and send what’s due to me? and if so Will it take another 4-6 weeks before I receive my money? Has anyone ever made a mistake and had to correct their form and if so what happen? Any advise or comment would gladly be appreciated.
