I got a letter from Motor Vehicle Commission that says “Your New Jersey driving privilege is still in probationary status.” what does this mean? I supposed to renew my provisional license to full license already but I’m not sure if i can if i’m in probationary status. Can somebody explains to me what is probationary status and if I can still renew my license. Thank You.

Is it safe to conclude that New Jersey has the worst drivers in the union?

Evan asked:

New Jersey drivers are wild animals on the road. They swerve in and out of traffic without using their turn signals, they regard the speed limit as merely “negotiable”, they do something incredibly stupid and then flip off OTHER drivers as if the other party is at fault, and they never run out of new ways to hold up traffic.

See that retard cutting over three lanes without even signaling his intentions? See that car that caused major backup on I-95? See that asshole that just flipped you the bird? What is the common denominator? Look at the license plates. I’m sure you will find the following:

New Jersey
RE*TARD
Garbage State

It’s hard to believe that drivers from NJ suck so much dick compared to drivers from MD, DE, and even PA. Whoever is in charge of distributing licenses in New Jersey should have been given the heave-ho a long ass time ago!

Why is gas 20 cents cheaper is New Jersey that Pennsylvania?

Curtis H asked:

In New Jersey they even pump your gas for you. I never have to get out of my truck, but in PA I pump my own gas and still pay 20 cents more a gallon. Anyone have a logical reason why?

Is a toll violation a moving violation?

Ashley asked:

I inadvertently went through an EZ-Pass lane and I don’t have an EZ-Pass. There was someone behind me so i couldn’t reverse and go in the correct lane and I stopped to see if I could pay the toll lady but she just yelled at me. Now, it’s only a 25 dollar fee so it’s not even worth my time to appeal (though there is an option to appeal inadvertent violations) I would rather just pay the $25 but I just want to know if it will be a strike against me on my insurance. It happened in NH but I live in MA. Thankss

I didn’t pay at a toll booth?

Candy Bee asked:

Alright, so please, before you begin to think I’m an idiot please hear me out.

I’m seventeen years old, and today I traveled about an hour away to go to a very nice mall. I was driving along with a friend. On the way back from the mall, we ran into road construction, so I punched into my GPS to find me a detour. All I had to do was take the next exit. Which I did.

Anyhow right at the end of the exit was the turn pike, but for where I was going, the turnpike toll booth was like right at the very end of the exit. I thought it was going to be a tool booth where you’d grab a ticket and go….but it wasn’t. There was only one toll booth, (For Ez-pass, and cash) and i pulled up to it and instead of having some lady ask for money it was a coin slot… The screen said I owed 75 cents. I dug through my purse as fast as I could, I wasn’t expecting to get right off the exit and find the booth! But I could only find 2 quarters, and a whole line of traffic was blowing their horns behind me.
I panicked, and just drove off…without paying. It was my parent’s car, and I know they take pictures of your license plate so they can bill you…But I never even picked up a ticket…and the tool booth was right at the end of the exit!

I don’t want my parents to think I’m irresponsible… So I’d like to know if I will be billed at all, and how they bill you…and how much I should expect. Please remember that all I did was take an exit and I didn’t even travel down a highway…there was just this toll both at the end of the exit, and I hadn’t picked up a ticket before hand….Please tell me what’s going to happen, and am I going to have to tell my parents?

Provisional license?

BRODI asked:

Does anybody know about the NJ motor vehicle rules, because a little over 3 months ago I got pulled over at 1:40 am for careless driving. Mind you I still had my provisional license but I am 19. I had to go through the same regulations for provisonal licenses’ and had to leave the car since I was driving past midnight. I got 2 points on my license for careless and had to pay a fine for the provisional. Motor vehicle sent me a letter saying my NJ driving privilege is still in probationary status and I’ll having to take a probationary driving course if I get 4+ more points. I need to know can I go to motor vehicle and get my regular license or do I have to wait 12-18 months b/c of the traffic infringement or is it fine because I am 19? Also what does motor vehicle mean by my NJ privilege is still in probationary status? Any feedback is positive because I need some clarification on this whole sticky situation. Ez
